In Ålgårdens campaign to show interesting foreign artists we have now come to the perfomance- and installation artist, the draftsman and printmaker Nelly Agassi from Tel Aviv, Israel. Nelly is a young contemporary artist who has obtained great success in her home country as well as in Europe and USA.
Nelly works with the body as her main form of expression and dresses her scene with fabrics or use the site as material. Her prime expression is the performance, an intimate act close to the audience. Sunday 9th September at 5 o’clock will Nelly Agassi for the first time show her performance ”More” to the Swedish audience. The performance will be video filmed and later shown throughout the exhibition.
As a draftsman and a printmaker Nelly Agassi works with distinct and symbolic images. The paper is her working place and her home.
