Printmaking with Tetra Pak – September 19-20
A two-day workshop to create beautiful gravure-like images with recycled Tetra Pak packaging.
Learn plate preparation, marking techniques, colors and printing on press. Fun, experimental and environmentally friendly – perfect for beginners in printmaking.
A Tetra Pak printing workshop that combines traditional printing techniques such as drypoint and low relief printing with a sustainable twist.
Participants will experiment with everyday materials, simple marking tools, recycled materials and experimental methods to create unique, textured prints. During two days you will have the chance to create a variety of prints from 2-3 medium-sized Tetra Pak plates. Time is given to rework the plate and this leads to new results. It is possible to use stencils or masking techniques and print in color combinations. End up with a selection of prints to take home to inspire and develop your ideas further.
Day one: Introduction to Tetra Pak as a printing technique. Preparation of the recycled material, mark making, drawing on the surface. Preparation for printing. Proofing of printing plates.
Day two: Reworking the design, starting new plates and experiment printing several versions.
No previous experience is required. It can be good for experimental printmaking artists who want to develop their technique in a new way.

Classical Drawing: Basic Course.
Every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, starting October 7.
Instructor Vadim Dubrov
A five-session introductory course in drawing based on the teaching methods used in classical ateliers. Participants will explore movement and proportions, light and form, perspective and spatial composition, culminating in a fully realized still-life drawing. No prior experience is required. Each session builds upon the previous one through classical drawing exercises such as line drawing, negative space and basic tonal studies. The goal is to train the eye just as much as the hand. Through guided instruction—moving from initial line studies to a finished still-life—participants gain the fundamental skills and confidence needed for their continued artistic development.
Oct 7: Line, proportions, and movement. Learn to draw what is actually in front of you.
Oct 21: Basic form and tone. Moving from line drawing to three-dimensional form by using light and shadow to create volume.
Nov 4: Perspective and spatial composition. Placing objects convincingly within a space and understanding the structural logic that underpins the work.
Nov 18: Still life and the rendering of different materials. Rendering a still life with varied textures and surfaces, ranging from matte to reflective materials.
Dec 2: Summary: complex still life. A final project that integrates and applies everything covered during the course. (Instruction is in English and can be translated into Swedish if needed.)
Price: 150 SEK per session; 100 SEK per session for students.

Introductory Course in Printmaking – October 10–11

Screen printing on paper – October 23-25
Course leader Thomas Nilsson.
We will go through the basics of screen printing and print each image on A4+ printing paper.
Based on the participants’ own images, we will learn how to separate colors and create stencils for printing in multiple layers.
The goal is that after the course you will be able to work independently with screen printing on paper.
Choosing an image and making stencils directly on plastic film, or with the help of a computer.
Assembling stretchable frames.
Coating and stripping screen frames.
Using a printing table and lighting box.
Mixing colors.
Masking frames and layer matching.
Time: Friday 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Price 2,600 SEK including lunch and coffee/tea.

Basic Etching Course – November 7–8
Course leader: Torbjörn Damm
During the course, we will cover several classic forms of copper etching: line etching, soft ground and hard ground, open bite, and aquatint. We will discuss and explore the creative possibilities offered by these different etching techniques.
No prior experience is required.
